Jessie and Nathan met almost 12 years ago at the start of college at beautiful UC Santa Cruz, but it took until graduation in 2004 and Jessie's impending departure to New York City for them to realize they were more than friends.
Eight years, three cities, two grad schools, and two dogs later they have decided to make things official. Nathan and Jessie envisioned a natural, rustic setting for their wedding, where they could dance under the stars and have the freedom to make the event our own. After learning of the Tahoe Tree Company and saw the beautiful garden and layout, the rest fell into place.
Jessie and Nathan love to garden and entertain friends in their own backyard, and felt that a nursery would be the perfect place to celebrate their relationship and “plant the seed” for the rest of their lives together. With loved ones coming from all over the country, it was important to pick a destination where they would all be able to spend time together and relax for the entire weekend.
Tahoe is a one-of-a-kind, magical location, and their absolute favorite spot to spend time as a couple and with friends and families. They opted for family style dining, with local, seasonal ingredients and pie for dessert to continue the feel of a backyard celebration.
