Around 600 members of the Bay Area's fashion/design elite were treated to a special fashion show by Oscar de la Renta on the stunning shores of Lake Tahoe. The famed designer showcased his Resort 2015 collection at the annual fundraiser thrown by Saks Fifth Avenue and the League to Save Lake Tahoe, which took place this year at the luxe Schumacher Family Home in Incline Village. Models prowled the runway in airy, jewel-bright tones, reflecting the blinding sun and dazzling patrons. Following the presentation, guests were treated to a sit-down luncheon, a live auction, and an exclusive backstage shopping extravaganza.
The benefit, now in its 45th year, dates back to the late sixties, when designer Bill Blass unveiled his creations to loyal clients and close friends. Since then, the tradition has evolved into one of the most widely anticipated events of the year, with all proceeds going to preserve the natural resources of the beloved Lake.
